I built a browser version of the chord drone I’ve been developing for the Librae Legio. It starts with the reel’s six chords and adds two directions I’m exploring: upper harmonics that slowly bloom, and individual notes that move across the stereo field.
Open Bloom Lab and play the instrument. It makes sound in the browser after you press Play. Headphones help with the spatial movement.
The Chord menu now includes four further shapes alongside the six reel chords: G–A–C–D, C–D–F–G–A, G–B♭–C–D–F, and C–D–E–G. Each new shape has four voicings to compare: its original open or character version, plus close, wide, and low versions. The eight octave variations work with every voicing. New chords begin with pure sine notes in Original reel mode, with their own just-intonation targets. The Bloom + space preset still starts with the original wide C–D–F–G voicing.
You can choose the original reel tone, sine, triangle, saw, or square as the base wave. Bloom amount, harmonic count and speed, stereo movement, tuning, detuning, and the level of each note are adjustable. Set Bloom amount to zero to hear a base waveform on its own.
This is a sound experiment. The browser controls go beyond the current module firmware; changing them here does not update the Legio.
